MOFLEX

The Moflex range of flexible flanged pipe joints cover a range of standard pipe work flange sizes and are designed to reduce transmitted vibration. These mounts also accommodate thermal expansion, water hammer and other causes of axial or torsional deformation within a pipe work system.  Suitable for temperatures between -10�C and +95�C and working pressures up to 10bar (145 p.s.i.).  Internal fins reduce turbulence within the joint and promote laminar flow resulting in minimal pressure loss.

Installation

A gap equivalent to the joint length plus 1.5-2.5mm is required for installation in typical applications such that these mounts will be under tension to achieve the required sealing pre-load.  The elastic deflexion is axial and this mount may be used as a suspension mount to support pumps for example � in conjunction with other AV mounts (e.g. Mohang for fully suspended loads).

Inlet and outlet diameters may be different as shown in the table below.  In this case flange sizes are according to the flange specification UNI 2278 Pn16.
