NRSC

Sometimes known as the double ‘U’ shear mount, this design features 2 ‘soft’ axes where the rubber is deformed in shear, and one firm axis where the rubber is in compression.

Suitable for isolating vibration caused by low speed machinery and shock protection for sensitive equipment.

The NRSC mount (Narrow style of the obsolete RSC product) has top and bottom slots for ease of mounting onto the isolated equipment and floor or base.

The 316 stainless steel versions have through holes rather than slots.

Installation

Fixed to isolated equipment and to a sub frame or floor.   In mobile applications, the mount is normally installed such that the firm axis is aligned with the direction of travel.  Also for rotating machinery, the soft axes are aligned at right angles to the shaft and the firm axis parallel to the rotating shaft.

Typical Applications

Fans, compressors, portable generator sets (gensets), measuring and test equipment, mobile equipment, computers and electronic units, transit cases.

Materials

Rubber:          Natural rubber (polyisoprene) of different grades Alternative elastomers available on request.

Metal:             Steel with sherardized and clear passivate finish.  Plated nuts and lock washers included with mount.
