CONIC

The VIBROSTOP CONIC damper consists of a hollow rubber body in the shape of a truncated cone, fitted with two fixing studs protruding from the larger and the smaller bases.

 

Thanks to the original VIBROSTOP design, the load acting along the axis of symmetry causes a compound stress due to internal air pressure and compression/shear within the elastomer.   The result is a very useful progressive damping effect.  The overall design provides for high deflection under load and a low natural frequency making this mount suitable for shock loads and/or low disturbing frequency applications.

Installation

Fixed both ends.
