MOPLA 8

The Mopla 8 range comprises 8 steel springs mounted within elastomer top and bottom spring retainer/covers.

Installation

Available for fixing to isolated equipment directly (ABS) or indirectly (AB) using the various base accessories available. The ABS version includes an M10 stud and nut. Typically these mounts are also fixed to a base directly or via the Mopla-8 Base F of Base U8
In some applications it is not necessary to fix the mount to the floor if the base is used.

Typical Applications

Air conditioning units, compressors, refrigeration units, transformers, generators. For extreme shock loads such as large press tools, these mounts can be used in a large sandwich arrangement for effective protection against vertical shock loads into buildings. This is a specialised application and should ideally be considered prior to installation of such equipment. Special foundations are normally required which may require that the press is fixed to an inertial mass suspended below ground level to improve stability. Multiple mounts can be used to isolate very large loads effectively and safely.

Materials

Rubber: Vibrostop Elastomer with metal insert.

Spring: C72 spring steel with powder coated epoxy coating.

Base F: Lexan

Base U8: Non-corrosive aluminium alloy (Anticorodal) with thick felt liner.
